Herrmann-Webber Family 2009

I love family get-togethers. Call me crazy, call me gluten for punishment, but I do, I LOVE them! The stories about who did what as a kid, why someone has a nickname, and the constant laughter and giggles of children. It's no secret that I have a big family, but I also come from a big family and I do enjoy catching up and getting to know the latest and greatest. On this Sunday morning I witnessed first hand another family interacting with each other and it made me laugh, it made me giggle, and it warmed my heart on this chilly day! The Herrmann-Webber Family is a fun group that is just on the brink of growing up together with all the kids so close in age and you can just imagine the fun they are all going to have! I had a great time at Sibley Park in Mankato, thanks for letting me tag along!

I put this one in here for humor ;)

Traxler Family Session

Who can resist a tutu? I mean seriously? There is just something too rediculously cute about a girl in a tutu. It shows her free spirt, her zest for life, and her individuality. Maddie's mom came to the "Miracle for Morgan" fundraiser and won a photoshoot with me and despite weather and illness challenges we finally decided on a date at the Historical Society in Belle Plaine. I was so excited for this shoot from the begining, because as most of you know, I too have a daughter with special needs. Then Angie told me she had a tutu coming and then I was just plain giddy ;) so here are a few of my favorites from our day in the park. Thanks again Traxler Family for your support in finding the "Miracle for Morgan" and for letting me capture memories that will stay with me forever!
Also, if you'd like to help donate to the research of Rhett Autism, please let me know and I will get you in contact with the proper channels :)

Christina and Fessy

This Sweet little girl and her cuddly dog came to me through the Fulton Neighborhood Fundraiser. The Fulton neighborhood has a yearly fundraiser to raise money to better the community. There were donations of all kinds from vendors around the metro, and when my friend asked if I wanted in, I said SURE! I don't believe that memories should cost a fortune, and when capturing the relationship between Christina and Fessy, what I get back from it makes me feel like I have the best job in the world. I can't wait to see the fun personality this girl has as she gets older and the look on her mom's face as she does it, since I know what it's like to be the mother of a 9 year old free spirt :)

The Herrmann Family

"People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.
When you figure out which it is, you know exactly what to do."

For those of you who know this poem you're going to completely get what I have to say. We all have relationships in our lives that are for a reason, season, or a lifetime. We all have immediate parts of our life that require something from someone that you can't provide yourself. Those people enter your life for a reason. There are people who come into your life for a season. Teachers who change your life, nurses that tend to the chronically ill, or friends that have something in common with you, such as work. And then there are those who enter your world for a lifetime. Those who become a constant you begin to know and love. Those who see you at your best, your worst, and everything inbetween and still look at you saying "I am here for you, no matter what you need." the people who make your life better just because they are there, because they are beside you, because they make up some of the small parts that make you who you are when all is said and done. Well last Sunday I had the opportunity to photograph some of my lifetime people. They welcomed me whole heartedly when I first moved to Belle Plaine and we haven't looked back. We decided to go to Hidden Valley Park in Savage and boy is there a ton of cool niches to catch great light, great scenery, and of course laughter when you bring the Herrmann's along! I had a blast hanging out with you guys and I can't wait to see what the rest of this lifetime brings! I hope you enjoy the pictures!
